Let’s talk about political symbols for a moment. The Democrats chose the donkey as their symbol – a stubborn animal who makes a lot of noise but is none too bright. Sounds about right. The Republicans picked the elephant – a big, fat bully who enjoys nothing more than trampling the little animals underfoot. Yep. I think the Libertarian symbol is the platypus, because every time you see one you think “what an odd duck”. None of those animals, by the way, are very American.
Which brings us to the official unveiling of the symbol of the Giggle Chuckle Party… the wise and majestic Panda Bear. Pandas are as American as apple pie, once having roamed the wide open country by the millions… until the donkeys and elephants nearly wiped them out by invading their native habitat.
So when you think of pandering… ahem, I mean Pandas… think of the Giggle Chuckle Party.
