The GC Party may have some competition from a candidate everyone loves: Mom.
Cheryl Moeller says if Mom were President, she'd make the leaders of the G7 play soccer on the White House lawn. "If they can learn to play as a team, they all get juice boxes and granola bars at the end of the game."
I was wondering if anyone had ever tried her idea, and discovered the G7 Teams -- then found out they're an organization of "professional electronic sports teams" that strives to "Improve and represent e-sports in all its aspects, as well as provide

Once Upon a Time
by Ronald A. Rowe January 13th, 2012 | Humor
As I was waiting at the doctor's office the other day, I heard a dad sitting near me telling his daughter story after story. It was a long wait. Every story began with "Once upon a time..." and rambled through the dad's half-remembered, half-made up on the spot version of some classic fairy tale.
As soon as he brought each story to an end, the little girl squirmed and pleaded until he started up again with "Once upon a time..." After about six of these tales in a row, the daughter finally asked "Dad, do all fairy tales begin with

What’s in a Name?

A dating site's staff psychologist reports that being named Kevin puts a guy at risk for "loneliness, neglect, low self-esteem, poor educational prospects and, if that's not bad enough, smoking."
So I did some highly scientific research of my own by searching on the name in Google News. The first Kevin who showed up was a football player who's coveted by another team. Whatever else, he's sure not neglected, and he probably went to college on a scholarship. No word on whether he smokes . . . but somehow, I doubt it.
Other "negative" names for boys: Adolf, Bevis,

Little Blue Ivy Carter's birth moved Conan O'Brien to tweet: "Thank God Beyonce had her baby and can go back to work. For the past 6 months that family's had to live entirely on Jay-Z's salary."
And what's more, as I know from tracking Billboard's stats, it's months since both parents had a Top 10 album at the same time. How have they been getting by? Will Beyonce have to swallow her pride and rehire her dad as manager because he won't charge her much? And how long till the baby's under pressure to record her own album?

Too Much Information

There are two things that have been commonly said about my face. The first is that I have the perfect face for radio, which is really just mean. The other, only slightly less hurtful, comment is that I have a "kind face". That may not sound so bad, but having a kind face means that total strangers feel comfortable - nay, obligated - to share their personal stories of woe with you.
